Profile

REVATHY RAMASWAMY is an accomplished musician and has given several veena concerts in USA and India. She
learned music from her mother, Vainika Gayaka Vidushi, late Smt. Ranganayaki Sundararajan of Mysore. Revathi
received rave reviews for her soul filling traditional style of music, raga and tana malikas, and has been able to
bring out in clear relief the rhythmic aspects in the kritis without in any way sacrificing their melodic content. Over
the last several years, Revathi has participated in the Arangetrams in the greater Boston area both as a singer and
as a veena player. Besides being a skilled Karnatic music artist, she is also an Anesthesiologist at the Winchester
Hospital and teaches vocal and veena music in Lexington.
