Indian Music Appreciation Day -  An introspective on Indian classical music
An education and outreach event that seeks to explain the origins and basis of Indian classical music and how it relates to other popular music forms. This event will be of interest to the knowledgeable scholar of Indian classical music as well as the casual enthusiast. The event will be presented in an interactive, fast paced format.

Father/son sitar duo of Parthapratim Chatterjee and Purbayan Chatterjee accompanied by the father/son tabla duo of Anindo Chatterjee and Anubrata Chatterjee.

Parthapratim Chatterjee is the disciple of Pt. Nikhil Banerjee and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. His son, Purbayan Chatterjee, learnt from his father. Today, Purbayan is considered the embodiment and leading torch-bearer of the Senia-Maihar Gharana.

Pt. Anindo Chatterjee is one of the greatest living exponents of the Farukkhabad Gharana of tabla. His son Anubrata is being groomed to represent this style of playing tabla and to carry the tradition further.
