Sangeetha is proud to kick off its Spring 2008 celebration of Indian Classical Music with a Sitar concert by Indrajit Banerjee accompanied by Gowrisankar Karmakar on the tabla. For the inquisitive music lover who wants to get a deeper understanding of the art form we have a special introspective on Indian classical music that seeks to explain the basics of Indian classical music to give a better appreciation of the art form. The third concert in the series is a Carnatic vocal concert by Vidwan O.S Thyagarajan. The season will be capped off by a grand Musical Legacy Concert by father/son duo Parthaprathim Chatterjee and Purbayen Chatterjee accompanied by the father/son duo of Anindo Chatterjee and Anubrata Chatterjee on the tabla.

Due to grants and local sponsors members get nearly $3 value of world class quality for every $1 paid in member dues. Membership fees are $150 per year for a family and $75 for an individual. (Nominal charges for fund raising concerts held once a year).

• Live Recordings: When permitted, Sangeetha will endeavor to provide recordings of concerts that you are not able to attend for your listening pleasure
